Our Approach to Therapy in San Diego: Compassionate and Expert Care

Create Wellbeing 3-Stage Integrative Model

At Create Wellbeing Therapy Collective, our work is rooted in a gentle, integrative model designed to guide your healing journey.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, past trauma, or simply seeking a more grounded connection with yourself, our 3-stage model creates space for deep, sustainable transformation.

Calm your distress.

At Create Wellbeing Therapy Collective, we begin by compassionately assessing your pain points — whether they show up as anxiety, depression, trauma, physical symptoms, relationship challenges, or a general sense of overwhelm. We use targeted strategies to calm the specific distress you’re experiencing, helping you feel more grounded and regulated.

Engage your whole self.

Once you’re feeling more stable, we thoughtfully engage a combination of therapeutic modalities to explore and address the deeper roots of your struggles. This phase helps you gain insight, build resilience, and begin meaningful change from the inside out.

Integrate healing into your life.

Our goal is lasting transformation. We support you in integrating what you’ve learned into daily life — in your habits, relationships, work, and community — so healing becomes a sustainable part of who you are.

Integrative Mental Health Treatment in Person in San Diego & Via Telehealth

We provide integrative therapy: the strategic combination of clinical approaches individually curated to help you feel better, understand your challenges, and integrate healing into your life. Current research suggests that an integrative approach to wellbeing produces better long-term outcomes than any singular psychotherapy or holistic treatment method alone. Our integrative providers always consider the whole person and are skilled in many modalities. We deeply enjoy the art of developing a care plan together with you that specifically meets your needs as an individual, couple, or family system.

Integrative therapy is collaborative & systems-based

  • Integrative Therapy is both structured and intuitive; it does not rigidly adhere to a singular treatment method, but strategically combines core elements of modalities.

  • Integrative Therapy is systems-based, utilizing interventions associated with the whole person, noticing how one modality affects another.

  • Integrative therapy carefully observes the outcomes of interventions and adapts responsively and collaboratively.

  • Integrative therapy utilizes components of evidence-based treatments, and thoughtfully combines them with holistic approaches to produce significant results as part of whole person care.

Create Wellbeing Therapy Rates

Session costs vary based on service, length of service. Sliding scale options are available. We are an out-of-network provider. A “superbill” will be provided upon request in order for you to seek reimbursement. You are entitled to a good faith estimate for the cost of care upon request.

Compassionate Treatment

For many, reaching out for help is an enormous step of faith. You will be met with compassion, care, and guidance, wherever you are in the recovery journey. You will also have the support to determine what services and at what frequency will best support your needs.

Individual psychotherapy can be paired with other integrative services to support stabilization and integration. This might mean that you have sessions that are focused on delving deeply into the underlying issues via art, as well as sessions focused solely on habituation of self-care practices, or sessions for safely practicing meditation in a trauma-informed manner.

Mind, Body, Spirit: Integration

We know that integrated functioning of the mind, body, and spirit are key to health. We therefore focus on the way that we process emotions that are held in our bodies, explore the meaning we make of our lives, and consider how we draw from a sense of spiritual strength/purpose to feel grounded. At Create Wellbeing, we use integrative therapy approaches that facilitate mindful responsiveness.

This allows teens, individuals, couples and families to calm the distress, engage the whole being, and integrate healthy functioning patterns into whole life systems.
