- Are you feeling unmotivated?
- Do you have thoughts of death or dying?
You are not alone. There is hope.
Integrative Therapy can help you heal.
Up to 10% of adults experience depression each year. This is also often coupled with anxiety. Left untreated, these symptoms can linger and negatively impact your life and relationships.
Some people wonder if it is possible to receive depression therapy treatment without medication. Medication and therapy are often recommended for depressive symptoms (especially if you are having suicidal thoughts).
Integrative depression therapy is a whole person approach to care for depression that may allow you to receive depression therapy treatment without medication if this is desired. Create Wellbeing will also support you collaboratively with providers if you are currently taking medication for depression effectively, or would like to stop taking medication for depression. If you believe that you would benefit from medication for depression, we can help with preferred providers for medication management as well.

Frequently Asked Questions About Depression Therapy
Is it worth the cost?
It depends on how you value your wellbeing. Some suffer for years with untreated depressive symptoms, masking them in order to keep going. You are likely reading this page because a part of you is ready for something more in life and knows that you will not be able to fulfill your purpose in this world and feel fulfilled in this much pain.
What if depression treatment does not work?
You should be able to get an appointment within 1 week. It is likely that you will attend therapy 1-3 times per week depending on your individual needs. You may also see more than one provider in order to address self-care skills and practices, direct body-based care, and depth oriented psychotherapy.
How quickly can I get started and how frequently will I come to therapy?
Part of the depression therapy process is continually reviewing and evaluating progress. Because integrative therapy does not use a singular approach, your care will be adapted to your needs. It is common for symptoms to ebb and flow, especially at first, but you should experience some symptom reprieve fairly quickly, due to the initial focus on calming your most problematic symptoms.

How is Create Wellbeing different than other practices?
Create Wellbeing Therapy Collective’s depression therapy approach is unique due to our investment in integrative therapy. Our practice is best suited to support those looking for more than just talk therapy in modalities focused mostly on changing your thoughts about your situation.
While the role of your thoughts is important, we know that it is your whole experience of life that needs attention: your mind, body, and relationships. This means that will support you in a way that strategically integrates evidence-based, body-based, and life purpose and habituation practices for supporting your wellbeing. Our aim is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to get you thriving in life.
What is Major Depression Treatment?
Major depression may include, sadness, fatigue, struggles with concentration, lack of motivation or pleasure in things you used to enjoy, feelings of isolation and even suicidal thoughts. When depressed, your nervous system is operating in a hypo-aroused state. Your body is slowing down in response to emotional pain or biological patterns of mood instability. Integrative psychotherapy addresses the many layers of depressive symptoms with practical, body-based, and process-oriented exploration of the causes of depressive symptoms, providing solutions to support positive mood.

What is Persistent Depressive Disorder Treatment?
Previously known as dysthymia, persistent depressive disorder is a pattern of depression that has lasted for at least 2 years. It often includes some of the following symptoms: poor appetite or overeating, insomnia or hypersomnia, low energy or fatigue, low self-esteem, poor concentration or difficulty making decisions, or feelings of hopelessness. Persistent depression can lead you to feel as though these symptoms will not subside. Depression is typically completely treatable, even if it takes some time for all symptoms to resolve and ongoing awareness and management of trigger signs. There is hope for recovery from longstanding depression through integrative depression therapy at Create Wellbeing.
